We study energy-transfer processes from a given quantum system, termed charger, to another one, i.e., the proper battery both in closed and an open setting. quantify fraction EB(τ) of energy stored that can be extracted order perform thermodynamic work. show there substantial gap between average extractable work due correlations created by charger–battery interactions.
